Who’s TMP?

Taylor and Alisha met at a workshop back in 2012. They became fast friends first and soon after started dating. As things began to unfold personally and professionally, it became clear that they should be working together. Their movement philosophies and passion for all things health and performance related are right on point with each other. In 2013 they established The Movement Project in Acton, MA. The Movement Project is a project in many senses of the word. It implies that developing to your full potential requires hard work, dedication, and time. Constant re-evaluation of progress and re-prioritizing goals keeps you on track and moving forward, tallying achievements along the way. It implies never settling, always projecting, always getting better. Taylor and Alisha instill these ethics into each individual they work with and it is their personal motto for The Movement Project. They chose this career because of the potential to always keep learning as science continues to develop and progress our understanding of movement. They invest a great deal of their earnings into continued education to be sure they are practicing at the top of their field. At The Movement Project the hunger and drive for learning and success never ends.

As a result of over 10 years of studying very distinct types of training, Taylor and Alisha offer one-on-one sessions that are based off a culmination of natural movement philosophies, backed by current scientific research in the field of Neuroscience. Whether you are simply looking to move better or wanting to increase sport performance, you have options. Influenced by Zhealth Performance Solutions, Neurokinetic Therapy, The Burdenko Method, and various sport performance systems, each program is individualized based on the person, their biomechanics, and goals. The goal: remove dysfunctional movement patterns, reeducate proper movement, and improve athletic performance.

In the future, Taylor and Alisha will be adding a very unique approach to movement and health combined by integrating Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine into their work. Alisha is currently studying at the New England School of Acupuncture at MCPHS University and already has many great ideas on how to integrate the benefits of Acupuncture into the TMP movement philosophies.

Keeping up with Taylor and Alisha is an interesting process, or…project 😉

Our Skills

What can we do?

Our clients often find us because their pain puzzles them. We often hear, “it should be gone by now, I’ve tried everything!” Or, “I just got injured but need to get back to my sport asap!”

Or they find us because they have a performance goal that is beginning to feel impossible – “no matter what I do, I can’t improve my squat depth or strength.” Or, “I’m so inflexible, I’ve never been able to touch my toes!”

The results we provide are so immediately measurable that individuals leave the first session realizing they can actually set their goals much higher. It goes from, “I want to improve my strength and flexibility” to “I want to make states!” Or, “I can’t even go for a walk without pain” to “I want to register for a 5k run!” And this happens in one session.

What can we offer?

Start with our Movement Assessment so we can discuss your goals and concerns, complete a comprehensive movement analysis, and determine a plan for success.

At The Movement Project, results far exceed expectations. Dream big.

What is our specialty?

We specialize in working with people who are frustrated with their current exercise program, either because they are struggling with pain or injury or because they have hit a performance plateau. The results we provide are so immediately measurable that individuals leave the first session realizing they can actually set their goals much higher. We offer flexible, custom training programs that allow for each individual to build a program that fits their busy schedule and is cost effective.
