Better breathing is the gateway to health

#TMPtipoftheday:

Breathing is the gateway to healthBreathing problems will reach into every facet of your life!

Even if you don’t realize it.

In the US about 1 in 12 people have asthma.

That’s 25 million people.

Imagine how many have undiagnosed breathing issues?

About 7 out of 10 people that come to us for training present with breathing dysfunction.

Common symptoms of poor breathing that usually go unnoticed are:

  • shortness of breath
  • chronic hyperventilation
  • anxiety
  • poor posture
  • cold hands/feet
  • spinal mobility issues
  • neck pain
  • back pain
  • chronic dry mouth
  • chronic trigger points
  • extremely rigid tissue
  • bilateral pains
  • metabolic issues, and lots more!!

Good quality breathing is a driver of metabolic health.

If you’re a poor breather and you take 25,000 breaths per day, eventually issues are going to manifest.

Often times you will see long term problems begin to occur in the midline of the body – lungs, heart, mouth, throat, pelvic floor, guts, as well as vision and vestibular disturbances.

Even different disease processes can occur.

Breathing is a very misunderstood concept in healthcare.

But, I can tell you this, for people who bounce around in healthcare that are unable to find answers, breathing should be at the top of your list!

At the TMP, respiration assessment starts on day one.

It’s that important.

There are a number of other related health categories that must be trained along with breathing.

We have tools for them all.

And, we got your back!
